Stephen Longley is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in Australia.
Prior to joining Teneo following its acquisition of PwC’s Australian Business Restructuring Services unit, Stephen was a Partner at PwC, having held national leadership roles and advised on complex restructurings across industries including hospitality, financial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, retail and mining.
With more than 30 years of experience, Stephen has advised on many of Australia’s largest and most sensitive restructurings and corporate advisory engagements. He has worked with major corporations, governments, financial institutions and boards on operational and financial restructurings, business turnarounds, independent business reviews and formal insolvency appointments. Recent projects include advising The Star Entertainment Group Limited on its operational and financial restructuring, acting as Scheme Advisor for Catholic Church Insurance Limited, leading the voluntary administration of Dixon Advisory and Superannuation Services Pty Ltd, advising the Victorian Government on the restructuring and IPO of Carbon Revolution Limited and serving as Scheme Administrator for the $3 billion debt restructuring of Nine Entertainment Group, as well as advising the State of Tasmania on restructuring options for Basslink.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. He is a Registered Liquidator and a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
